JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Austin Innovation Technical Center three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business if more than 3 days].

YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years software engineering experience, with a focus on data engineering and proficiency in java frameworks (Spring boot, Quarkus)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Spark, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
  • Proven cloud experience and strong familiarity with at least one cloud platform (Microsoft Azure - preferred, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience in Python and PySpark preferred.
  • Good understanding and experience with CI/CD practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies - AKS, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, ADX.

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $143,000 - $219,400. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

The Vehicle Data Engineering team is on the lookout for a talented Senior Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development of
cutting-edge vehicle data processing ,storage and retrieval systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data processing
and streaming, developing scalable APIs for efficient data access. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and
maintaining data pipelines and APIs and ensuring seamless data integration and accessibility across the organization.Are you ready to join a

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and implement changes to an existing system for aggregating and sending ten’s of millions of emails per month.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the Vehicle health

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization of applications within the Vehicle health Domain.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Data management Streaming Technologies
  • Uses advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques to resolve a wide range of non-standard problems.
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
