About the Assignment We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong hands-on experience in modern cloud-native development across the CNCF ecosystem. You will help build and evolve a complex, production-grade product that serves as a centralized control plane for infrastructure components. You’ll collaborate closely with platform, infrastructure, and developer experience teams to design and operate scalable, secure, and highly observable systems in demanding production environments. Job Description Design, build, and evolve backend services, controllers, and APIs in Go Operate and improve production Kubernetes environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security Develop and maintain custom Kubernetes operators Design Crossplane compositions and develop custom Crossplane functions for infrastructure abstraction Build and maintain GitOps-based deployment and infrastructure workflows using Argo CD Work with the Backstage system model and integrate Backstage with internal platform tooling Implement and operate observability for metrics, logs, and traces, including Grafana Cloud Design and operate workloads on Microsoft Azure Contribute to a complex, production-grade product used as a control plane for infrastructure components Requirements Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production Deep understanding of Kubernetes APIs, controllers, and extensibility Crossplane composition design and development Custom Crossplane function development Strong hands-on experience building backend services, controllers, and APIs in Go (Golang) Experience designing, developing, and maintaining custom Kubernetes operators Strong hands-on experience with production-grade GitOps workflows using Argo CD Strong understanding of the Backstage system model and experience integrating Backstage with internal platform tooling Hands-on experience with observability tooling and strong working knowledge of Grafana Cloud (metrics, logs, traces) Strong experience designing and operating workloads on Microsoft Azure Strong operational knowledge of maintaining large-scale, enterprise-grade infrastructure Proven experience contributing to complex, production-grade products Nice to have Experience with AWS Experience with OpenShift Experience building internal developer platforms or developer experience (DevEx) tooling Experience with secrets management solutions (e.g., Vault or cloud-native secret services) Experience with Upbound products and enterprise Crossplane ecosystems Prior experience in platform engineering teams Application Selections are made on an ongoing basis, so we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
