Senior Software Developer C++ (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

Further development, maintenance, and refactoring of existing C++ applications (legacy code), as well as bug fixing and performance optimization.

Conceptualization and implementation of new applications with Qt (C++/Qt 6), including the creation of UI prototypes and integration of third-party libraries.

Participation in all phases of the software lifecycle: from requirements analysis and design through implementation, code review, testing, and deployment.

Proficient use of test and build scripts (pyTest, googletest, QtTest) and performance of static and dynamic code analyses.

Adherence to coding standards (e.g., C++ Core Guidelines) and security guidelines, as well as active participation in code reviews.

Evaluation of new technologies, libraries, and tools, and their integration into the project portfolio.

Ensuring a structured, traceable work process with clean code. Code, naming conventions, and documentation;

knowledge transfer and mentoring of junior developers; and active participation in agile teams (Scrum) through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Your profile:

Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, media informatics, computer engineering, or a comparable qualification

; at least 5 years of professional experience as a C++ developer, software engineer, embedded software engineer, systems engineer, QA engineer (software testing), or hardware-software integrator; experience

with MFC (legacy code) and Qt, as well as a good understanding of software architectures;

sound knowledge of database management, infrastructure, Git, CMake, and CI tools;

experience in agile teams (Scrum), ideally with certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner;

strong analytical skills, a high willingness to learn, a proactive work style, and experience in customer and stakeholder management.

Work model: Primarily on-site; mobile work only by arrangement (max. 2 days/week).
