YOUR ROLE AT SAFELYYOU

As a Senior Software Developer on the C&N team at SafelyYou, you will be responsible for the development of applications through the implementation of cloud-based web and mobile solutions. You will build new applications, as well as support existing ones, for both external and internal users. Your work will directly impact thousands of our industry’s residents, families, and caregivers.
The Case & Notification (C&N) team utilizes the outputs from in-facility sensors and AI to drive the business logic behind our product suite. This includes enabling a customer to view and respond to resident safety incidents, as well as architecting platforms to support emerging initiatives, such as activity tracking for care plan insights.
You will work closely with other engineers on the C&N team in an agile process to define, design, implement, test, and deploy scalable and reliable products and features to improve healthcare outcomes for the elderly. Furthermore, you will partner with product management, customer success, and operations teams to gather and understand customer requirements and feedback.
This is a fully remote role. You are expected to work with minimal guidance and be proactive as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build new products and features for web-based and mobile applications, working on both back-end and front-end systems, as needed
  • Support existing products and features, by investigating and fixing defects, as well as implementing high-priority enhancements requested by users
  • Work with stakeholders including product, engineering teams, operations, and other business teams to analyze, define, and refine requirements
  • Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to validate results and ensure high quality
  • Document changes and write technical specifications to help maintain and improve systems
  • Work in an agile environment to plan, track, and improve the delivery of new features and products
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, as needed
  • Participate in the hiring process for other team members
  • Work closely with customer support and operations teams to provide support and participate in on-call rotation
