HOW WILL I MAKE AN IMPACT?

Are you interested in driving forward the big data platform that drives all of our data and analytics offerings for our customers? If yes, this team is for you! Work on a brand-new platform to extract, transform, load, and query large amounts of data while driving sub-second queries. This platform will provide all data and aggregations for actionable insights to our customers to help them save time, maximize impact, and drive student success. We are looking for a strong developer who has expertise in data engineering, especially data modeling and query optimization. This role will work on D2L’s Performance+ product.

Responsibilities
  • Strong communication skill for technical discussions and collaboration
  • Experience with OO design and proficient coding skills (ie: C++, C# or Java)
  • Strong understanding of Computer Science topics including: data structures, algorithms, databases, distributed systems
  • Data modeling and query optimization expertise
  • Experience with data lakes, data marts, data warehouses, or data lakehouses
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT strategies and techniques
