What this role is:
As a Senior Full Stack Software Developer on the Workforce Engagement Management (WEM) Decision Science Team, you will take ownership of designing and developing end-to-end solutions that integrate advanced optimization models with scalable back-end services and interactive front-end user interfaces. You’ll work on mission-critical products that drive decision-making in workforce planning, scheduling, and resource management, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

To succeed, you should have a deep understanding of full-stack software development, from building robust APIs and back-end services to creating responsive front-end interfaces. You’ll also need experience in solving complex problems, optimizing workflows, and delivering seamless user experiences. You’ll be a proactive leader, mentoring junior engineers, driving best practices, and contributing to the strategic direction of our software solutions.

Some details about what you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and deploy of full-stack applications that integrate optimization models with intuitive user interfaces for workforce management.
• Build scalable and highly available back-end microservices in Java, Python, or other JVM-based languages, and integrate them with front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular).
• Collaborate closely with the data science and operations research teams as well as product management to transform mathematical models into actionable features and services.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and optimize them for performance, scalability, and security.
• Develop and maintain front-end interfaces that allow users to easily interact with complex data and optimization results.
• Optimize both back-end and front-end performance to ensure fast, reliable, and smooth user experiences.
• Lead code reviews, provide guidance to junior developers, and establish best practices for both front-end and back-end development.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and user experience.
• Contributes to comprehensive documentation efforts, including technical specifications, design documents, and process guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to continuously improve the development process and product quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related fields.
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Development role, with a focus on full-stack development of highly scalable and highly available systems.
• Strong proficiency in back-end development with languages such as Java, Python, or C++, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Expertise in front-end development with modern frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript) and frameworks for building responsive, mobile-friendly user interfaces.
• Experience with designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of agile software development processes and methodologies.
• Proficiency with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• Experience in workforce management, scheduling, or optimization-related domains is a plus.
• Proven leadership experience in delivering software projects, mentoring teams, and driving innovation.
• A growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Fluent in English
