As a senior engineer, your technical leadership will influence architectural direction, engineering standards and the capability of the wider team, ensuring Hansen continues to push the boundaries of cloud‑native energy data management. What you’ll be doing You’ll be a hands‑on senior engineer, influencing both technical direction and delivery quality, while supporting and mentoring others in the team. Design, build and evolve cloud‑native, microservice‑based solutions from concept through to production Develop and maintain services that handle real‑time data, ETL pipelines and high‑volume processing Programmatically create and manage environments using AWS and Infrastructure‑as‑Code Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure high technical quality through reviews and best practices Work closely with stakeholders, providing clear estimates and progress updates Champion modern engineering practices, tools and continuous improvement Share cloud expertise and mentor less experienced developers within an Agile, DevOps‑focused team What you’ll bring We’re looking for a senior engineer who combines strong cloud fundamentals with curiosity, ownership and collaboration. Essential experience ideally 3 or more years of cloud‑native development experience ideally 3 or more years working hands‑on with AWS Proven experience building microservices from scratch Strong programming skills in Python, C# and TypeScript Experience using AI as part of the software lifecycle (minimum 2 years) Solid understanding of cloud operations, monitoring and logging Experience with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD pipelines Comfortable working across Windows‑based tools and Linux CLI Strong written and verbal communication skills in English A collaborative, proactive mindset with experience in Agile / DevOps teams Nice to have Experience in energy sector data management AWS certification (Developer Associate or equivalent experience) Serverless architectures, IaC / EaC, Docker or container platforms Experience working on greenfield and brownfield applications Exposure to Machine Learning A passion for knowledge sharing and coaching others Why Hansen?
