Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable test automation frameworks
• Create and execute automated tests for backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and end-to-end user workflows
• Design automation strategies for complex application features, including interactive maps, geospatial data, dynamic visualizations, and other non-standard UI components
• Validate cloud-native applications deployed on AWS and ensure system reliability across distributed architectures
• Troubleshoot application and test failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for high-quality software releases
• Partner closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams to promote quality throughout the entire SDLC
• Advocate for quality as a shared engineering responsibility

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Development and Test Automation
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Extensive hands-on experience on automation frameworks like Cypress or Playwright
• Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured, Supertest, or equivalent frameworks
• Strong knowledge of AWS services
• Hands-on experience working with AWS services, including:
  • AWS Lambda
  • S3
  • DynamoDB
• Experience validating, troubleshooting, and testing applications deployed in AWS environments
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of testing initiatives, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal guidance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
