Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Developer at Kempower, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. On a typical day, you’ll create new and improve existing software together with the scrum team, implementing and documenting safety critical software in our most important projects, making a direct impact on our mission to revolutionize transportation.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL,

  • Lead safety related software development
  • Actively develop the safety related software development processes
  • Work mostly on microcontrollers such as STM32, but also on higher level embedded Linux on a distributed system
  • Communicate actively with 3rd party testing companies, internal project managers and HW designers
    At Kempower we work in a hybrid model. We primarily expect you to work onsite at our Tampere office, but you also have the option to work from Lahti and partially remotely.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

  • Proven track record of being in lead developer role or scrum master role.
  • Proven track record of safety related software design and development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of:
  • C and C++ programming
  • Microcontrollers (eg. STM32)
  • GIT version control
  • Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Static code analysis tools
  • Linux operating system (Yocto)
  • Reading a schematic
  • Data structures
  • Team player mentality and collaborative mindset with a strong sense of teamwork, active knowledge sharing, and seamless cross-functional cooperation.
  • Proactive and problem-solving approach to seek solutions and drive progress independently.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a growing and evolving company and the EV Charging industry with developing processes and ways of working.
  • Communication and presentation skills to effectively manage software safety features together with internal and external stakeholders.
    As our official company language is English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
