Your new challenge:

• As a software engineer, you and your team members will further develop the applications and tools from your squad, including software solutions, maintenance and testing, as well as process optimization.
• You will consider not only the agreed-upon software architectures and development processes of Mobilize Financial Services, but also the security requirements in application design in collaboration with IT security. In doing so, you will ensure the implementation of compliance and IT security requirements within the applications and tools.
• Your tasks also include translating the requirements into a programmatic solution, including writing technical documentation.
• You participate in all Agile regular meetings, from estimation to refinement, and document your efforts and work results in the available tools.
• You will support project management in the areas of project preparation, estimation, implementation and reporting.
• During your software development, you are in constant communication with the PO, project management, DevOps & Testing, and release management as part of your project activities.
• You use KPIs to track code quality and work on appropriate measures for improvement.
• And you provide support in the event of operational disruptions, including error analysis and bug fixing.

Your skills:

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science or a similar field of study.
• You bring relevant experience in software development, are familiar with middleware and backend, and ideally have industry knowledge in the financial sector.
• You have strong conceptual skills, creativity and innovative power, are familiar with agile thinking and have experience in an agile environment with Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork skills, and entrepreneurial thinking and action are also part of your mindset.
• Close coordination of your development tasks with the PO is a matter of course for you, as is a structured, proactive and independent way of working.
• You possess strong analytical skills, as well as a high level of quality awareness and a strong sense of responsibility. You are solution-oriented and service-minded, work independently, and are assertive.
• Your work is characterized by the use of best practices, design patterns, clean code, and semantic versioning.
• Ideally, you have knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Git, build pipelines, XML, REST APIs and JSON, Jira and Conluence. And you feel completely at home in your IDE.
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platforms) is desirable.
• You track your code quality with SonarQube and independently derive suitable measures to improve your code.
