Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Software Developer to join our IT Services team. In this role, you will lead the development, integration, and maintenance of applications that support critical academic, administrative, and POC functions. EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer-related area (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent demonstrated success as a software developer.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Current hands-on development and mentoring experience
  • High volume, enterprise environment
  • 5+ years of web and/or Services development
  • 5+ years of .NET

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with web based integration (requirements and implementation)
  • Experience with multiple development and enterprise technologies
  • Experience with Agile Software Development
  • Experience with enterprise Content Management Platforms
  • Experience with Angular Javascript and Bootstrap CSS frameworks

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Has a strong working knowledge of object oriented programming techniques, methods and structures.
  • Has experience coding/programming/ developing with working knowledge of .Net, C#, and SQL development.
  • Can implement solutions using .Net C# framework
  • Can implement solution using SQL Server databse.
  • Can implement solutions using Web CSS and Javascript frameworks.
  • Can implement solutions in a multi-tier internet application architecture using Microsoft technologies
  • Can implement solutions using responsive design and development
  • Has knowledge of multivariate & a/b testing (Test & Target [Adobe] would be ideal)
  • Has knowledge of web analytic tools such as Omniture or Google analytics
  • Has Experience with or understanding of general concepts of aggregate tagging (brightag would be ideal)
  • Able to rapidly learn and apply new, emerging application development and integration technologies and techniques.
  • Able to provide accurate estimates.

    Compensation: Between $100,000 to $115,000 annuall
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable web and enterprise applications that serve students, faculty, and staff
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (registrar, admissions, financial aid, etc.) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Integrate third-party systems (such as student information systems, learning management systems, and ERP platforms) with campus applications using APIs and data pipelines
  • Lead architecture and design discussions, mentor junior developers, and promote software development best practices
  • Ensure application accessibility, usability, security, and compliance with higher education standards (FERPA, ADA, etc.)
  • Participate in DevOps activities including CI/CD, automated testing, and version control
  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure system reliability and continuity
  • Stay current with emerging trends in educational technology and enterprise software
