We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join a dynamic, cloud-first engineering team responsible for building a modern, API-driven insurance platform. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives as an independent contributor while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. You will play a pivotal role in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining system features, with a focus on cloud services, microservices architecture, and enterprise-level integrations. The position demands strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a security-first mindset, with the opportunity to contribute to platform strategy and technical design decisions. You will influence both short-term deliverables and long-term architectural vision while ensuring platform performance and reliability. Occasional travel may be required for strategic planning meetings. Accountabilities Design, implement, and maintain software features within a cloud-first, API-driven platform. Contribute technical expertise to cross-functional, agile development teams including QA and business analysts. Participate in architectural design decisions and provide guidance for complex enterprise systems. Collaborate with Product teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions. Ensure code quality through unit testing, functional testing, and regression testing. Maintain and optimize system performance while adhering to security and compliance standards. Create and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and team development. Proactively identify issues and deliver innovative solutions while mentoring junior team members. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5–10 years of software development experience with proficiency in C# and .NET. Minimum 3 years in a senior technical role contributing to enterprise-level projects. Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs, integrations, and complex business processes. Proficiency with cloud services, preferably Azure, including serverless computing, data storage, messaging, and logging. Strong experience with monolithic and microservice architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL DBs, Document DBs, unstructured data). Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and attention to detail. Familiarity with agile methodologies and working across multiple teams. Preferred: Experience in Commercial Property and Casualty insurance, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, TypeScript, and SPA frameworks (Angular, React).
