ABOUT OUR GROUP:

The Global Wafer Systems group is a highly technical team responsible for the design, development, and deployment of critical solutions for RHG Wafer nano-manufacturing facilities. The Wafer teams in Seagate are in Northern Ireland and the US with significant collaboration between the teams.
With a portfolio that includes FIS, MES, FCS, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solutions, best in class visualizations, and rapid deployment, this team has won industry awards due to its innovation, best in class systems, and value delivery. The software development function is responsible for development of solutions that integrate with these and other factory information systems.
Located at the Seagate Springtown Campus in Derry/Londonderry, this role will be part of a global wafer systems Factory IT Support team within the wider IT organization, supporting manufacturing of the recording heads in a 24x7 environment.

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in software development.

  • Software development: Experience with exposure to the full software development life cycle

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in C#.NET, WPF, LINQ, MVVM, MEF, WCF, Java, RESTful APIs and Kubernetes.
  • Database Knowledge: Essential knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle databases.
  • SAFe/Agile methodologies experience
