Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer II in United States. The Senior Software Development Engineer II will contribute to building high-impact, mission-critical systems that transform how professionals operate in complex, regulated environments. This role involves designing and implementing backend systems using advanced .NET technologies, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, UX, and domain experts to translate intricate workflows into scalable, high-performance software. The position requires hands-on experience with large-scale backend systems, mentoring junior engineers, and driving architectural decisions. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments, embrace technical challenges, and are passionate about delivering clean, resilient, and maintainable code. Accountabilities: · Architect and implement complex backend domains using Domain-Driven Design (DDD), defining bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain events. · Develop resilient, event-sourced systems leveraging MartenDB and Wolverine (.NET Critter Stack) with high-throughput performance. · Design asynchronous, idempotent message handlers with observability, retry policies, and dead-letter queue management. · Optimize PostgreSQL performance with indexing, partitioning, and query tuning under demanding workloads. · Take end-to-end ownership of features, from domain modeling and API design to CI/CD automation and production monitoring. · Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on DDD patterns, clean architecture, and modern .NET best practices. · Collaborate with product and UX teams to convert complex workflows into intuitive software and actively participate in cross-team design and planning discussions. · 5+ years of backend development experience with expert-level C# and .NET 8+. · Strong mastery of Domain-Driven Design (strategic and tactical patterns). · Hands-on experience with MartenDB, Wolverine, CQRS, and event-sourced architectures. · Deep understanding of PostgreSQL performance optimization and high-throughput systems. · Experience in legal tech, workflow automation, or other regulated industries. · Familiarity with observability platforms (e.g., OpenTelemetry), frontend frameworks (Svelte, TypeScript), and identity platforms (Auth0, OktaFGA). · Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. · Collaborative mindset, growth orientation, and experience mentoring engineers. · Competitive salary range: $190,000 - $215,000. · Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance. · Paid time off policy, maternity and paternity leave, short & long-term disability coverage. · Opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and collaboration in a high-performing engineering team. · Dynamic, rapidly growing company culture with supportive leadership and engaging company perks.
