  We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a centre of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
  SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.

SiriusXM’s Dublin facility is planning to recruit positions in the following areas of focus:

• Software Development: Software development roles will be tasked with developing and executing innovation roadmaps and provide advanced operations capabilities.
• Automotive Technology & Engineering: The Dublin team will focus on the development, testing, and support of software and platforms primarily for SiriusXM’s in-vehicle services, as well as for SiriusXM’s consumer electronics and emerging businesses. They will be part of the global team focused on customer adoption, enhancing customer experiences, and driving revenue generation.
• AdTech, Data Science & Analytics: The Dublin team will play a critical role in the modernization of SiriusXM’s AdTech stack, focused on efficiency and scalability. Developing innovative solutions and prototyping new methods for music discovery and content engagement, this team will integrate cutting-edge technologies, such as Generative AI and Large Language Models, to enhance the subscription value and modernize SiriusXM’s suite of streaming applications and products.

Responsibilities
How you’ll make an impact:
We’re seeking a Sr. SDET, for our team, which is responsible for ensuring that our iOS, Android, Web, and Consumer Electronics users have the very best music experience. You’ll have a huge impact on the quality of SiriusXM’s growing suite of products and services by acting as a champion of quality engineering. You will be involved in all testing activities throughout the SDLC. You will leverage your knowledge and experience in testing to influence better software design, promote best practices, introduce bug prevention strategies, testability, and other advanced quality concepts across products.

What you’ll do:

• Analyse business requirements, design documentation, and technical specifications to decide on the most effective scripting/test strategy to exercise the functionality or performance of the product.
• Effectively collaborate with Quality Engineering members, engineers and PMs across teams on large projects/missions
• Elicit and guide team members to support large scripting efforts.
• Solve complex automation challenges, predicting challenging issues in projects before they occur and escalating to the appropriate parties.
• Set and review script quality standards and practices.
• Demonstrate exceptional ability to isolate and troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging software testing methodologies.
• Perform automated test demos and walk through the test scripts with other team members.
• Attend design and product update meetings representing Quality Engineering team.
• Contribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality engineering processes and procedures based on best practice methodology.
• Contribute status tracking and management level reporting on projects.
• Proactively learn the backend infrastructure, services, APIs, and new testing and technology trends that will impact testing of upcoming releases.
• Generate comprehensive test plans, execute and automate them for client applications.
• Collect and report quality metrics from test executions.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• 5-7 years Quality Engineering test automation experience.
• 5 years of core Java.
• Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
• Expert knowledge of digital streaming devices and industry trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects, acting as point of contact for the team.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to both internal and external client quality and customer advocacy.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments.
• Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment, multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

Technical Skills:

• Strong coding skills with Java
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as Github actions, to create and maintain automation and manual testing infrastructure
• Experience with SDLC and tooling, such as GIT, branching/merging, build systems, and continuous integration.
• Testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as AWS and GCP
• Experience testing front-end applications
• Strong comprehension of Automated Testing Implementation and Strategies.
