About the Role:
The Delivery Experience team owns the end-to-end customer experience of sending money across borders for Remitly customers. As part of this team, you will be focused on unlocking this journey for customers globally by expanding into new countries and integrating new payment types. As an Senior Engineer on a front-end leaning, full-stack team, you will lead the team in solving technical challenges to improve money movement customer experience, partnering with several teams across the company.

You Will:

• Lead the technical strategy and systems of the Delivery Experience engineering team.
• Lead the design and implementation of frontend components and features using modern frameworks and web components like React or Angular
• Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Drive engineering excellence by setting high engineering standards and bringing consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter
• Enhance team talent through mentoring, code review, interviewing, and ramping new hires.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to achieve outstanding customer experiences.
• Report to the Engineering Manager of Delivery Experience Team.

You Have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a team environment
• Experience as a lead, working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes and delight users both internally and externally
• Experience mentoring and growing other engineers
• Experience with CI/CD and advanced deployment strategies

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $136,000-$170,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
