QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • 8–12+ years of software engineering experience in DoD/Navy environments.
  • Strong proficiency with C++, Python, or Java for real-time/mission-critical systems.
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with RF/spectrum operations systems and Navy software lifecycle standards (MIL-STD-498, SECNAVINST 5239).
  • Prior experience with NAVSEA, NIWC Pacific, or Navy test ranges highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Ability to brief senior government officials and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    This position is contingent upon contract award. Hiring will occur following award notification, with an anticipated start date aligned to the government’s transition timeline. Candidates selected will be required to provide a letter of commitment as part of the proposal process.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

This position provides senior-level software engineering leadership for Navy systems that monitor, analyze, and deconflict electromagnetic spectrum usage in real time. The engineer will design, develop, and integrate software applications that enable mission-critical Navy test and operational activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead design, development, and maintenance of RTSO software applications used for spectrum monitoring and management.
  • Integrate real-time RF spectrum data into visualization, decision support, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure software systems comply with DoD DevSecOps standards, RMF requirements, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Collaborate with RF engineers and test range operators to translate operational needs into software solutions.
  • Conduct system-level testing, debugging, and performance analysis in classified environments.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and system training materials.
  • Mentor junior software engineers and analysts.
  • Serve as the government’s senior technical point of contact for RTSO software engineering tasks.
