KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with COBOL and SQL, including relational database design and optimisation.

  • Knowledge of Appian and experience developing within cloud-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for Agile delivery and documentation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Australian Retirement Trust (ART) is seeking a highly capable and collaborative Senior Software Engineer to join our Enablement team within the Technology business unit. This role is instrumental in designing and delivering high-quality application solutions that support ART’s strategic goals and benefit our members. You’ll lead technical decision-making, mentor peers, and drive continuous improvement across platforms and technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and support application solutions aligned with ART’s technical strategy.
  • Analyse and implement changes based on business requirements, including documentation and testing.
  • Investigate and resolve system incidents and problems, recommending preventative measures.
  • Lead code reviews and ensure consistent, high-quality development standards.
  • Manage branching, deployment, and release coordination activities.
  • Provide expert advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders across platforms.
  • Mentor and support team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Promote continuous improvement and ensure alignment with ART’s delivery and risk frameworks.
