Position Overview
The position is for a software engineer who will be creating and enhancing one of Autodesk’s hero products Inventor®, working with a team of software development professionals who take pride in delivering products that reach over 300,000+ customers with significant annual revenue, and create best design tools used in the Industry Machinery, Mechanical and Consumer products.
Location: Toronto, Canada

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, troubleshoot, and debug the Inventor products
  • Optimize source code to effectively leverage object-oriented design, development, and code reuse
  • Estimate tasks and work towards schedule and deliver results that meet customer requirements with high quality
  • Work with extended teams of Experience Design, Product Management, QA, Architect, etc. to continuously deliver value to our customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree and above, in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline, with a decent knowledge of Linear Algebra
  • 3-5 years development experience on commercial software products.
  • Good programming skills with C++. Familiar with Windows platform development techniques, such as Visual Studio, MFC, WPF, etc.
  • Experienced in object-oriented design and architecture
  • Fluent and concise English communication, written and oral

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in web technologies like REST APIs, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, etc. is a plus
  • Experience with CAD software usage or development is a plus
