JOB OVERVIEW:

We are actively seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in software development. The ideal candidate must have solid AWS expertise, extensive hands-on Python development experience, and the ability to transition or migrate workloads into Java. We are specifically looking for engineers—not architects or leads—who are still actively coding and solving complex backend challenges.
This is a developer-heavy role and is not suitable for candidates with primarily architectural or managerial experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on coding experience in Python (recent and practical use)
• Proficient in Java with experience in migrating Python workloads or applications to Java
• Deep experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming/event-based architecture
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of development tasks
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and agile methodologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• AWS Certification (Developer or Solutions Architect)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Prior experience working on data pipelines or real-time processing systems

SOFT SKILLS:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to take initiative and deliver quality code under tight deadlines
• Willingness to learn and contribute beyond core responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python and Java
• Work on AWS cloud migration and infrastructure solutions, including building scalable services
• Contribute to system design and implementation with a hands-on coding approach
• Utilize Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms for real-time data solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
