Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with any object-oriented coding languages including, but not limited to C++, C#, Java or Python
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years experience with designing, developing and operating backend services.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

6+ years designing, developing, and operating backed services.
Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.
Experience in DevOps to maintain live services and/or application frameworks.
Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience highly desirable.
Proven analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.
Passion for building highly scalable, highly reliable services.
Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.
