Your tasks :

• Design, development and maintenance of our event-driven backend platform (Python, modern web/API frameworks).
• Modeling and further development of event stores and their projections onto a relational database, including database migrations and tamper-proof audit trails.
• Responsibility for platform-wide interface and data agreements across multiple repositories (versioned event and API schemes) and their consistent enforcement.
• Ensuring architectural integrity and data quality through automated tests and executable architecture checks (fitness functions).
• Security-by-Design in the backend: Secure authentication/authorization and careful, GDPR-compliant handling of research and health data.
• Technical coordination with adjacent development and operations roles, as well as supporting deployment and operation.

• Completed relevant studies or comparable knowledge and skills acquired through relevant professional experience.
• Several years of solid experience in backend development with Python and modern web/API frameworks.
• Excellent knowledge of relational data modeling and databases (PostgreSQL) as well as in the design of REST APIs.
• Experience with clean, test-driven software architecture; desirable: event-driven architectures, schema-based interface contracts, containers and CI/CD.
• Openness to and ideally experience with LLM-based code assistance tools in everyday development.
• Independent, structured and meticulous work style; enjoyment of taking responsibility for challenging technical issues.
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required.
