Description:

DESCRIPTION

  • Permanent, remote position based in Australia
  • Work with a collaborative team, driving impactful solutions to enhance user experience.
  • Take a hands-on role in troubleshooting issues, resolving bugs, and improving system performance.
CartonCloud is a SaaS company based in the Gold Coast, Australia. Our Engineering team builds a product that genuinely delights our customers, improving their daily operations in the supply chain and logistics industry throughout Australia, New Zealand and North America. As we continue with our global expansion, our BAU team keeps our customers moving, resolving issues and improving their overall experience.

Responsibilities:

We have an open position for a Senior Software Engineer to join our BAU (Business as Usual) Team. This team is fast-paced and every day has something new to offer! It will take some time to understand and absorb all the intricacies of our software and the logistics industry processes, but removing the obstacles is what makes this role so rewarding. Our product, originally built with PHP and AWS, is shifting toward a React JS frontend and Java microservices backend to support future growth—and as a key member of our BAU team, you will be part of this exciting journey.
Whilst our warehousing and distribution solutions offer our customers incredibly simple solutions, the software itself is rich and complex. Our BAU team works closely with Support and Operations to dig deep into customer pain points, proactively resolve bugs, and implement impactful feature enhancements that improve user satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the support team to understand, and thoroughly investigate customer-reported issues.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to prioritise and address critical bugs and performance improvements.
  • Overseeing the complete lifecycle of bug fixes from identification through to deployment.
  • Ensuring that all bug fixes are rigorously tested, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability before being deployed into production.
  • Participating in rotations to the “Small Changes Squad”, delivering high-impact small features to improve the product.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvements to ensure ongoing technical quality.
