As our Senior Software Engineer, Backend you will be responsible for: Collaborating with your peers from Product, Design, and Engineering on a cross-functional, outcome-based team to craft and deliver on OKRs. Driving product impact by deeply understanding user needs, participating in product discovery, and ensuring what we build solves meaningful problems. Helping lead your team through large projects with autonomy, continuously assessing and communicating progress, adapting to feedback, and iterating on solutions. Contributing to architectural decisions while evaluating trade-offs across time to market, quality, security, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Supporting and improving existing products and codebases with a sense of ownership and care. Exercising and improving Beyond’s engineering practices such as refactoring, pairing, code reviews, collective code ownership, containers, IaC, CI/CD, observability.
