EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years’ related work experience, Master+18 years’ related work experience).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (no waivers)
  • Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions
  • Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components
  • Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Ensuring quality control of all developed and modified software

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes.
  • Experience using with Jira and Confluence, as well as software version control systems, such as Git
  • AWS EC2, Lambdas
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Nginx
  • Elastic Stack
  • Experience with some of the following software development skills:
  • Java, C, C++
  • Python, JavaSript, Typescript
  • PostgreSQL, MongoDB
    Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized; Up to 16-hours per week

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible to:

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.
  • Perform full stack web application development with a variety of coding languages.
  • Implement web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript.
  • Work closely with Product Manager to define feature specifications and build products leveraging frameworks such as Reach.
  • Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services.
  • Build report interfaces and data feeds.
  • Conduct design and code reviews.
  • May be assigned to specific group focused on product or infrastructure.
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance.
  • Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area, or systems.
