We're hiring for an Amsterdam-based food tech startup focused on helping restaurants grow and compete. Post-seed, well-funded, and heading toward Series A. Seven engineers, all senior, all with real ownership.

They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to build product, not just code. Someone who cares about what ships, not just how it ships.

The role

You'll be working across the full stack on a Python/Django backend and Next.js/TypeScript frontend, deployed on GCP. The problems range from SEO infrastructure and marketplace dynamics to real-time logistics and checkout flows. There's no shortage of interesting things to build.

It's a small, senior team: high ownership, short feedback loops, and no layers between you and the product decisions that matter. Builder mentality - backend leaning is preferred.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally in product-focused startups
• Strong backend fundamentals; Django/Python experience is a plus but not mandatory if you learn fast
• Comfortable with TypeScript and React on the frontend
• At home in a cloud environment (we run on GCP)
• Genuinely AI-native: you're using Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent tools in your daily workflow, and you know how to get the most out of them without letting them make decisions for you
• Product instinct: you think about users and outcomes, not just tickets
• Based in Amsterdam or willing to be, three days a week in our office near the Rijksmuseum
