(Senior) Software Engineer C++ (m/f/d)

This is where you make the difference:

  • Development and further development of a modular C++ software engine for the generic control of complex machines
  • Conception and implementation of scalable software architectures with modern design patterns and clear interfaces
  • Development and integration of hardware-related components and various hardware interfaces
  • Implementation of high-performance, robust, and thread-safe solutions for parallel processes and multithreading scenarios.
  • Collaboration on technical UI, visualization and 3D rendering solutions, e.g. in the area of ​​Immediate-Mode UI rendering and OpenGL.
  • Close collaboration with software, hardware, and commissioning teams in the implementation of sophisticated solutions in areas such as motion control and vision detection.

This is how you will impress us:

  • Completed studies in the field of computer science, automation technology, mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience (ideally 3 years or more) in the development of industrial software systems
  • Solid knowledge of modern C++ as well as modular software development and object-oriented design
  • Experience with software architecture, system integration, and performance optimization
  • Practical experience in handling hardware interfaces and ideally, contact points with mechanical engineering or hardware-related systems.
  • Experience with multithreading, concurrent systems, and robust error analysis
  • Knowledge of technical UI/visualization concepts, 3D rendering or OpenGL is an advantage.
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and modern development processes involving code reviews and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
  • Experience with unit tests, ideally with Google Test, as well as a good understanding of software-side quality assurance are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured work style and good communication skills
  • Excellent English skills
