As a Senior Software Engineer (C++ / Python), you’ll play a key role in designing, enhancing, and maintaining a C++ service-oriented platform built on Azure IoT, as well as extending our Python-based integration testing framework. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, reliable software used in critical healthcare environments. Design, implement, and continuously improve an existing C++ service-oriented application built on Azure IoT Maintain high software quality standards through comprehensive unit and integration testing Develop and extend Python-based integration tests to automate end-to-end system testing Collaborate with an international development team focused on advancing hospital connectivity and interoperability Coordinate with interfacing systems, including ventilators and cloud services, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient data flow from medical devices to end users That’s what you bring along: At least 5 years of professional experience in software development using C++ and Python Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Strong experience working in Linux environments Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering complex technical solutions successfully Confident use of Git for source code management Familiarity with CMake and modern C++ build processes Analytical, independent, and detail-oriented working style Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills Fluent in English, both written and spoken Beneficial Qualifications Experience working in regulated industries such as MedTech, automotive, or similar fields Experience with Docker and containerized environments Experience with C# and cross-platform development Familiarity with modern CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps Background in test automation, e.g., Robot Framework Learn more about career opportunities at Hamilton at jobs.hamilton.ch.
