Key Responsibilities: Architect and Enhance Our Platform: You will take ownership of significant system components, designing and implementing scalable solutions that handle complex operational loads with high reliability and security. Active Collaboration and Leadership: While you will be deeply involved in hands-on technical work, your role also entails leading projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to share knowledge, mentor peers, and refine our engineering practices. Automate our core platform components either at the AWS or Application level. Working hands-on in our Compute team. We are looking for keen engineers who want to build a first-class platform for product engineers in Wise, streamlining how fast an idea can be delivered and scaled into production. We are investing in building cloud native applications backed by AWS as well as scaling our use of Kubernetes, so curiosity and learning is key. What do you need? We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. Experience coding in GoLang and interacting/building API’s Experience in building highly reliable, scalable, secure, automated cloud native platforms (preferably on AWS) Production experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes) Nice to have? Solid working knowledge of systems and software engineering fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, OO) Good sysadmin skills (Linux, debugging issues with disk, networking, OS performance etc) Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc) Interested?
