Description Senior Software Engineer Location: Phoenix, AZ (In-Office) Department: Bend Payments Reports to: Chief Product Officer Type: Full-Time / Exempt Build the Engine Behind Modern Receivables Infrastructure. We’re looking for a senior engineer who wants to shape and scale a product from the inside, someone who enjoys turning messy, manual financial workflows into elegant, automated systems. What You Bring 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Demonstrated ownership of features or systems from concept to production Strong backend foundation (Node.js, Postgres, AWS, or equivalent stack) Experience building APIs and working with modern web technologies (React, GraphQL, TypeScript) Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping solutions Clear communication and documentation skills Startup or fast-moving environment experience Nice to Have Exposure to fintech, proptech, payments, or regulated industries Experience building secure, compliant systems Infrastructure-as-code experience Interest in automation, data systems, or applied AI Compensation & Benefits $108,000–$118,000 base salary + quarterly bonus eligibility Health, dental, vision benefits 401(k) with company match High visibility and meaningful influence on product and engineering direction Are you ready to strengthen your product engineering muscle while owning real architecture decisions?
