Senior Software Engineer - Core Java Job Location: Commerzone IT Tech Park, Yerwada - Pune. Required Experience: 5-8 years Employment Type: Full-time Education: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field MCA (Computer Science/Application) Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance microservice-based backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA. Collaborate closely with product and architecture teams to design scalable and fault-tolerant systems. Build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs for high-performance applications. Work with relational databases (MySǪL, PostgreSǪL) — design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data consistency. Implement unit and integration tests to ensure product reliability and maintain high code quality. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions. Deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments (AWS). Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance. Contribute to continuous improvement of product architecture, automation, and development processes. Required Skills 5–8 years of experience in Java backend development. Strong understanding of Core Java (OOPs, Collections, Streams, Exception Handling, Multi-threading). Deep experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate. Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservice design patterns. Proficiency in MySǪL or PostgreSǪL, including performance tuning and query optimization. Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID, Clean Code). Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito. Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.). Good experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines. Exposure to Agile methodologies and product lifecycle development. Good to Have Exposure to Docker or other containerisation tools. Familiarity with frontend frameworks like reactjs, Javascript, HTML, CSS Experience with SonarǪube, JaCoCo, or similar code quality tools. Basic understanding of DevOps pipelines.
