Description
Overview Identity Storage team is responsible for the management and maintenance of a large fleet of Azure Data Explorer clusters used by over 130 services across the IDNA organization. We manage hundreds of clusters and thousands of databases storing about 25 PB of data used by Microsoft customers and internal teams. The main focus is infrastructure automation, monitoring, security and cost efficiency. Responsibilities Design and implement secure and reliable automation workflows. Maintain and develop accurate monitoring system.Propose and implement cost optimization projects. Collaborate on and implement robust security model for cluster and DB access. Drive engineering excellence through secure coding, robust testing, and maintainable design. Own end-to-end feature development, ensuring reliability, diagnosability, and customer transparency. Collaborate across engineering, product, and incident management teams to improve service health and operational readiness. Participate in on-call rotations and live site investigations, applying structured debugging and telemetry analysis. Contribute to architecture discussions, design documents, and cross-team dependency management. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards throughout the development and deployment process. Qualifications Qualifications - Required: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND senior technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Senior engineering experience with infrastructure management and automation Qualifications - Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
