This role demands a strong background in CI/CD tools, containerization, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation. About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting a key Telstra initiative. This role demands a strong background in CI/CD tools, containerization, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and optimizing DevOps pipelines and environments at scale, with a passion for automation, efficiency, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Bamboo. Build and maintain container images using Docker, Kaniko, and Buildah. Manage and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Rancher, and EKS. Operate and support multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry). Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet. Troubleshoot and optimize GitLab environments and pipelines, ensuring system reliability and performance. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices and compliance in deployment processes. Contribute to system architecture, security design, and performance tuning. Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo). 5+ years of experience with container build tools (Docker, Kaniko, Buildah). 3+ years of hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Rancher, EKS). 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, PCF, Azure). 3+ years working with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Strong experience in GitLab operations and CI/CD pipeline debugging. Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Shell). Good understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
