    About the role
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our high-performing Digital Experience team in Technology & Operations, creating functional and engaging web applications and microservices that enhance our Digital Insurance offerings. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and support scalable, customer-focused solutions, contribute to the Agile development lifecycle, and apply DevOps and Continuous Integration practices. You’ll ensure all solutions meet quality standards, align with our technical environment, and deliver exceptional user experiences that drive business success.

  • Analyse business and technical requirements to architect solutions that conform to Suncorp’s engineering guardrails, platform standards, and DevSecOps principles
  • Ensure all deliverables meet Suncorp’s non-functional requirements, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability, with a strong emphasis on automation and pipeline integration
  • Apply a proactive, outside-the-box mindset to solve complex challenges, reduce delivery waste, and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering squads, product owners, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared ownership of outcomes
