Job Description: Senior Software Engineer Summary The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software systems for ASP capital devices. This role combines software development, DevSecOps, product security, and AI‑assisted engineering practices to deliver reliable and secure product releases in a regulated environment. This position reports to the Senior Manager or Director of DevSecOps(ASP IDC). Responsibilities Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations, and ASP policies, procedures, and guidelines, the Senior Software Engineer will: * Design, develop, and implement software for our products and systems. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new software features. * Build or integrate AI-assisted workflows, agents, or automation to support engineering tasks * Use AI tools to improve development workflows and overall engineering productivity * Review code and designs, providing constructive and actionable feedback to team members. * Debug and resolve software defects and issues. * Conduct performance analysis and optimization of the software systems. * Perform static analysis, code coverage analysis, and other verification activities to ensure high‑quality software. * Communicate business‑related issues or opportunities to the next level of management. * Interface effectively with multiple departments, including Quality, Service, and other stakeholders. * Identify and recommend opportunities for process efficiency and continuous improvement within the department. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant with technical experience. * 5+ years of experience in system-level software development. * Strong programming skills in at least two of: C, C++, QT/QML, Java or Python * Experience with software development tools, such as IDEs, debuggers, and version control systems * Ability to work effectively in structured, compliance‑driven engineering environments. * Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles. * Solid understanding of secure coding practices and common application security risks * Experience writing automation scripts and developing engineering tools. * Experience with DevSecOps practices, including integrating security into CI/CD pipelines. * Familiarity with SAST/DAST/SCA security tools. * Experience using AI developer tools or building AI-assisted automation/agents * Familiarity with Agile methodology is preferred.
