About the role RFQ Opportunity 12-months Contract Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide locations Government Client Hybrid Job Overview Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team. They engage in the design and development of high-quality solutions in support of business and technical requirements. They lead software development projects and provide technical leadership to their teams - managing the planning, development and construction activities. EL1 SAP Software Engineers evaluate and resolve complex issues within Agile development and production environments. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of software, ensuring adherence to relevant standards, guidelines, and methods for system development. They exercise a considerable degree of independence, working under the general guidance of senior management. Key duties and responsibilities Duties may include some or all of the following: lead and create software and technical designs for the realisation of highly complex development solutions develop strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product's code base provide specialist technical advice on software development and maintenance lead the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance for the team's developments lead analysis, design, software development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities review and undertake high-level analysis of technical requirements to support project evaluation with proposed solutions ensure compliance with endorsed software development methodologies investigate and resolve highly complex ICT issues lead a positive risk management culture engage and manage stakeholder relationships and partner with other agencies and service providers to build service delivery capability contribute to business and strategic workforce planning, and drive the development of local strategies to improve key performance measures review and prepare reports, briefs and corporate documentation and communicate technical findings and recommendations manage business objectives and implement strategic priorities to achieve outcomes lead the development and delivery of projects within the assigned area of responsibility perform and manage cost analysis activities as required lead and manage staff to increase performance and engagement through: coaching capability development performance management health and well-being support exercise appropriate delegation in accordance with legislations and guidelines. In addition, the following Knowledge/Qualifications would be advantageous Advanced level skills in developing technical SAP solutions. Demonstrated practical experience in designing and developing high quality solutions in large and complex, enterprise environments Ability to perform the requirements of the role within a large complex and geographically dispersed ICT environment Demonstrated experience working in both Agile and waterfall work styles Strong analytical and problem solving skills to create and optimise SAP applications Why Fujitsu?
