Through innovative thinking, we strive to make a difference for ourselves, our teams, our clients and our community across New Zealand, Australia and the UK. The ClearPoint culture At ClearPoint, we’re proud of the culture we’ve built - collaborative, curious, and high-performing. Our values aren’t just words: Respect and Care for People Act with Integrity Earn and Nurture Trust You’ll work with sharp, passionate people who take ownership, raise the bar, and genuinely enjoy what they do. Whether you’re in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch, you’ll be part of a team that invests in your growth and makes space for you to shine. The Role We’re growing, and we need a T-shaped Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Practice. You bring deep .NET expertise at your core - but your curiosity doesn’t stop at the language boundary. You understand the full delivery picture: the APIs, the cloud, the pipelines, the data, and the humans solving problems alongside you. Our current projects are business-critical systems that serve a large number of New Zealanders every day. You’ll be writing code that matters, in a team that holds quality to a high standard. What we’re looking for Your core - the depth of your ‘T’: Strong C# and .NET (Core / 6+) skills - you know the platform deeply, not just the surface ASP.NET Core for building robust APIs and web applications Microservices architecture - you’ve designed and owned services end-to-end RESTful API design and implementation that’s a pleasure to consume Relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) - solid working knowledge, not just EF abstraction Messaging architectures - AWS or Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or similar Automated testing mindset as part of your everyday practice DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps) The breadth of your ‘T’ - the things that make you more than a specialist: Azure cloud services - ideally Azure-certified or actively working toward it Frontend experience (TypeScript / React / Angular) - you can context-switch when needed Experience with large-scale or high-throughput systems Observability, monitoring, and systems-thinking beyond your own service An appetite for AI and emerging tech - you’re curious about what’s possible Communication skills that translate technical complexity into clear outcomes What makes an Ideal Candidate? We’re not just looking for someone who writes great C#. We’re looking for a ClearPointer - someone who is creative and curious, brings a genuine growth mindset, and thrives on solving complex, meaningful problems. You take ownership, lead with clarity and calm, and always keep the client’s outcomes front of mind. You’re self-assured without arrogance - someone who raises the bar and creates space for others to shine. What’s on Offer Complex, high-impact projects that push you technically - there’s always something interesting on the go Competitive remuneration, health insurance, subsidised gym, barista coffee, wellness workshops, and more Flexible/remote working - we trust you to get the job done wherever you do your best work Annual training budget + access to AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Salesforce learning resources BYOD allowance, phone allowance, and access to whatever tech you need to do great work Award-winning culture - AWS Social Impact Partner of the Year, CIO 50 Award recipient Interested? If you're passionate about engineering, love solving complex problems, and want to make a significant impact, we want to hear from you! Location: Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, New Zealand Type: Permanent Full-Time Position To apply, send your CV and a brief introduction to debbie.murphy@clearpoint.co.nz ClearPoint is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment.
