Primary Responsibilities: Develop and maintain .NET web applications and REST APIs to automate tools that help our customers Design, implement, and maintain applications within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Develop, test, implement, and maintain application software following established processes Communicate effectively with other engineers and quality engineers (QE) Identify and resolve production and non-production application issues Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions Serve as a mentor to less experienced developers Develop pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends Contribute to the development team and help achieve key business objectives Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams Solve unique and complex problems with a broad impact on the business Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree OR HS Diploma/GED plus 5+ years of equivalent experience 3+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle experience 3+ years of .NET web and REST API development development experience 2+ years of React design/development experience 1+ years of SQL Server experience Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work well with teams Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of Angular experience Experience working in Agile methodology Experience with source control systems (GitHub and GitHub Actions) Experience working in a virtual team environment Knowledge of Windows operating system details Good understanding in full stack development Solid communication and interpersonal skills At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
