You have experience with secure coding and know your security principles and best practices for creating secure platforms.
You like distilling domain knowledge and working on design topics that touch multiple systems beyond coding.

THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a key technology at Zalando, providing secure access to our Zalando Technology Foundation services and tools for our employees, partnering businesses, contractors and customers.
As Senior Software Engineer in Identity & Access Management (IAM) you will work in this dynamic environment on the line between Software Engineering and Systems Engineering together with a talented and diverse team, influencing, building, and operating the next generation IAM technology stack at Zalando.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Design, develop, deploy and improve software solutions, mainly in Golang and partially in Python, with a platform engineering mindset that has a direct impact on our daily business with employees, partners, and vendors.
Provide developer-friendly platform solutions around Identity Management and Access Governance to a large number of stakeholders.
Drive maintenance and enhancement of our Terraform provider, a critical component of our deployment automation suite.
Monitor the systems for which you’re responsible; define alerts, participate in on-call rotations, and generally follow Site Reliability Engineering best practices.
Improve our end-to-end test automation framework, which plays a key role in ensuring the reliability of our services and relevant business processes.
Manage and consult internal stakeholders on best practices of cross-domain identity and access management, including access models, take their requirements and enhance existing services.
