JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components. Complete complex bug fixes. Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs. Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. Resolve complex technical issues as necessary. Train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles. Keep abreast of new technology developments. Design and work with complex data models. Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations, employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations.
  • Also required is: 2 years of experience: working in an environment using .NET based development languages; working with SQL Server; leveraging Source Control and Continuous Integration; working with internal and external technology resources; writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components; and completing complex bug fixes.
  • Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Data Management, LLC office in Oklahoma City, OK but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
  • Experience can be concurrent.
