As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building self-serve platforms that integrate real-time ML deployment with advanced data engineering capabilities. You will develop scalable backend services, data pipelines, and APIs that empower teams to deploy and manage ML workflows efficiently. Your work will directly impact the performance, reliability, and observability of the platform, supporting critical business and analytical use cases. This role requires strong expertise in Python, cloud platforms, container orchestration, and data engineering frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions while working in a dynamic, innovative, and mission-driven environment. \n Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain self-serve platforms for real-time ML deployment and robust data workflows. Build and manage backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI to orchestrate ML pipelines and data operations. Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines with PySpark and Pandas, ensuring high-quality data for ML training and deployment. Implement and maintain real-time ML inference platforms using tools such as AWS SageMaker and Databricks. Deploy CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications and data pipelines. Create and maintain technical documentation, including high-level and low-level architecture designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, solve complex problems, and deliver scalable solutions. Requirements 5–10 years of experience in IT, including 5–8 years in platform/backend engineering and at least 1 year in DevOps/data engineering roles. Hands-on experience with Python, Pandas, PySpark, FastAPI, and building distributed data pipelines. Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge of AWS services such as SageMaker, Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, and S3. Experience with databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and DynamoDB. Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and automation frameworks. Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic.
