This role is focused on building and evolving backend systems that power critical business workflows such as proposals, contracts, invoicing, payments, project management, and time tracking. You will work on highly scalable SaaS platforms used by professional teams worldwide, ensuring reliability, performance, and seamless user experiences. Your work will directly impact how agencies and professional service teams manage their operations and reduce operational friction. \n Accountabilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems supporting core SaaS workflows such as CRM, billing, contracts, and project management. Design and implement robust RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability across systems. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Frontend teams to deliver integrated, high-quality full-stack solutions. Drive improvements in system performance, observability, reliability, and backend engineering best practices. Participate in architectural discussions, technical design reviews, and long-term system evolution planning. Implement and maintain automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production observability frameworks. Support global product scalability, including multi-region, multi-currency, and internationalization requirements. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and React. Proven experience designing REST APIs and relational database schemas (e.g., PostgreSQL). Strong background in SaaS product development, ideally involving payments, invoicing, or workflow automation systems. Experience working in autonomous, high-ownership engineering environments. Solid understanding of performance optimization, system reliability, security, and observability practices. Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and design teams in cross-functional settings.
