The Role We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a deep passion for synthesizers and music technology. You will be part of a small, highly experienced team of senior-level software developers working fully remotely. This role requires someone who thrives working independently and is comfortable owning features end-to-end. You will design and develop software that powers our next generation of hardware instruments and software products, working with both embedded Linux systems and desktop platforms. Key Responsibilities ●    Develop high-performance software for embedded systems running Linux ●    Develop cross-platform applications and plug-ins for macOS and Windows ●    Build and optimize real-time audio processing systems ●    Full stack product development, from low-level systems to user-facing features ●    Collaborate closely with a small, senior team to deliver cohesive musical products ●    Contribute to system architecture, performance tuning, and algorithm design ●    Participate in code reviews and technical discussions Required Qualifications ●    Strong proficiency in object-oriented C++ ●    Solid experience with multi-threaded and concurrent programming ●    Hands-on experience developing for embedded systems ●    Experience building desktop applications for macOS and/or Windows ●    Familiarity with MIDI protocols and digital audio standards ●    Experience with real-time system optimization and low-latency programming ●    GUI development experience in embedded and/or desktop environments ●    Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications ●    Strong background in audio software, synthesizers, or music technology ●    Experience designing or programming hardware synthesizers or audio plug-ins ●    Knowledge of cross-platform frameworks and audio SDKs ●    Experience with embedded ARM architectures and toolchains ●    Proficiency with digital signal processing (DSP) What We’re Looking For ●    A genuine passion for synthesizers, music production, and sound design ●    Comfort working independently while collaborating with a small, expert team ●    A broad technical skill set and willingness to work across multiple domains ●    Curiosity and creativity in solving complex technical challenges ●    Strong communication and collaboration skills Why Join Us ●    Work remotely with a small, senior team of experts ●    Help create innovative instruments used by musicians worldwide ●    Contribute to products with a strong legacy and global reputation ●    Tackle challenging problems at the intersection of music and technology ________________________________________ If you’re excited about shaping the future of synthesizers and audio technology, we’d love to hear from you.
