At cargomotion, we’re building the Digital Transaction Layer for Freight. Our vision is to become the AI-powered Salesforce for Freight — empowering logistics providers to win more customers, automate customer interactions and grow their business.Rather than replacing the Transportation Management System (TMS), we build the intelligent commercial layer on top of it. Our platform combines ML-powered pricing, digital customer experiences and agentic workflows to help logistics providers increase revenue, improve profitability and eliminate manual work.Our leadership team brings together 40+ years of experience building logistics technology at companies like InstaFreight and sennder. Now, we’re building the software that will define the next generation of freight forwarding.

• What You’ll DoCollaborate closely with the backend team to design, implement, and maintain scalable services on AWS
• Build and deploy agentic AI pipelines and autonomous agents that power intelligent logistics automation
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning, deployment, and automation
• Build robust, secure, and high-performance APIs and microservices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and observability
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices across the backend
• Work closely with other engineers and product to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions
• Continuously optimize performance, reliability, and fault-tolerance of backend systems

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-On Skills5+ years of backend development experience with strong OOP languages and frameworks (e.g. Php/Symfony, Python/Django or FastAPI, Java/Spring, or similar)
• Practical experience building and scaling services on AWS (ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and database design
• Proven ability to write robust, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Comfortable collaborating with other engineers to align on architecture and best practices
• Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
• Fluent English for clear communication across teams

• Bonus SkillsExperience building or integrating LLM-powered agents or agentic workflows
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers (SQS, SNS, Kafka)
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
