We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our Autonomous Vehicle efforts within the Mapping application and engineering team. The team has a variety of responsibilities, including developing visualization tools for map data, implementing distributed pipelines for large scale data processing, applying advanced deep learning models and math algorithms to automatically produce the highest quality maps for self-driving cars. We operate in a fast-paced and highly agile fashion and seek the best engineers passionate about solving problems with a strong background in software development and system design. What You'll Be Doing: Work on web applications to fulfill the requirements of our engineering team and customers, implement new functionalities and write solid tests. Web frontend development. Implement 2D/3D visualization/editing of vector and raster map data. Backend development. Implement the endpoints responsible to power data to your app, benchmark/optimize data loading strategy, make sure a fluent user experience. Collaborating with other engineering teams within Nvidia mapping including algorithms, client and validation. Supporting operations of mapping services. What We Need To See: BS/BA degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, related technical field or equivalent experience 8+ Web development experience and fluency in Javascript/Typescript. Working knowledge in interactive data visualization technology, including but not limited to Computer Graphics, OpenGL, webGL. Good understanding of Linux, networking and service deployment. Creative, autonomous. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and analytical skills with ability to work with multiple teams and priorities Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd: Prior knowledge/experience in the autonomous driving mapping industry. Familiarity with React (hooks, routing, state management) or similar frontend frameworks Knowledge of GLSL shader programming for custom visual effects Experience with rendering graphics on web standards (canvas, SVG or WebGL) Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
