The Windows Cloud Experiences team is seeking a Software Engineer who is passionate about exploring new technologies, writing high-quality code, pushing delightful user interactions, and driving engineering excellence. Responsibilities Collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance remote desktop experiences. Contribute to the design and development of scalable, reliable, and user-friendly native client applications using modern technologies. Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from implementation and testing to deployment and live site monitoring. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following team coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and fix issues related to operating system integration, app performance, and connectivity. Use telemetry and customer feedback to validate solutions and continuously improve product quality. Learn from senior engineers and actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in native app development for Windows, iOS, iPadOS and Android. Expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
