Job Description MiSalud is building the platform to integrate health services across North America. We are a high-impact engineering team of 6, currently scaling our backend services, web applications, and mobile presence. We operate under HIPAA compliance, navigating the complex constraints of healthcare to build better systems. We are looking for Senior Software Engineers who operate as generalists. You will make real architectural decisions and work wherever the highest-impact work is, whether that's backend services, infrastructure, or frontend. What Actually Matters to Us AI-Native Workflow: We are actively reshaping how we work around agentic coding tools. AI-assisted development is our daily reality, not an experiment. If you prefer to keep AI at arm's length, this isn't the right fit. Technical Judgment: AI makes us faster, but it doesn't replace craft. You must understand why code works, possess strong opinions on system design, and be willing to defend them. Extreme Ownership: As part of a small team, you have high autonomy and high accountability. You operate like an owner of the product What You'll Work With You don't need to be an expert in everything on day one, but you should be excited to master: AI: Claude Code and Cursor Backend: Go services, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers. Frontend: TypeScript within an Nx monorepo. Database: PostgreSQL with sqlc for type-safe queries. Infrastructure: GCP (GKE, Cloud SQL), Pulumi, and Kubernetes. Practices: Proto-first API design and automated CI/CD. Qualifications At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience Strong fundamentals in backend development and SQL Experience with Go or TypeScript (both is a plus, willingness to work in both is a must) Comfort working across the stack, you don't need to be an expert in everything, but you shouldn't shy away from unfamiliar territory Experience with or genuine interest in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required, we operate under HIPAA compliance, and you'll learn the constraints as you go Additional Information What We Offer Hybrid work: One day per week in the office, plus an additional day every three weeks.
