Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the development of cloud-agnostic platforms and support the accreditation of the platforms and software products to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and extensive experience in DevSecOps, cloud technologies, and compliance frameworks. This role requires a Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 18+ years of experience in relevant engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and manage cloud-agnostic platforms that meet enterprise and government requirements. Lead efforts to obtain and maintain ATO accreditation for software and platforms, ensuring compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, STIGs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure, scalable, and efficient platform solutions. Supervise, lead, and mentor engineering teams. Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and compliance regulations to ensure platforms remain innovative and compliant. Oversee and support repeatable, reliable, and secure platform software tooling, frameworks, infrastructure, and integrations. Oversee site reliability of the platform and its services, including monitoring and alerting solutions, to ensure highly available platforms. Oversee and support CI/CD pipelines for automating infrastructure, software tooling, and deployment lifecycles. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 18+ years of experience. Extensive experience in developing and managing cloud-agnostic platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Extensive experience in deploying, integrating, and sustaining platforms, infrastructure, and tooling. Proven expertise in obtaining and maintaining government ATO accreditation for software or platforms. Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks and guides such as FedRAMP, NIST, STIG, CMMC, and FISMA. Experience with modern cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Terraform, Helm, Packer, Ansible, or other related technologies. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub actions, or similar solutions. Experience with Identify Provider solutions and integrating them with tools, including LDAP, OIDC, SSO, SAML, or related solutions. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Proficient working in Linux and Windows Operating Systems. Familiar with establishing workflows like GitOps and Infrastructure as Code. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Google, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
