Senior C++ Game Engine Engineer
We are looking for a Senior C++ Game Engine Engineer to join a team building the technology that powers high-quality online casino games.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on C++ expert with strong experience developing game engines, game frameworks, or core game technology. You will work at the engine level, designing and developing reusable systems that support multiple games, with a strong focus on performance, architecture, scalability, and real-time game technology.
Experience in iGaming, online casino, slots, sportsbook, or other real-money gaming environments is highly desirable, but strong experience in traditional game development and game-engine technology is equally relevant.
- Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain core game-engine technology using modern C++.
- Build reusable, high-performance engine components, systems, and frameworks used across multiple games.
- Develop and optimize core game systems including game loops, game states, animation, rendering, memory management, and resource handling.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, including CPU, memory, rendering, and runtime performance issues.
- Contribute to the architecture and evolution of the game engine, making decisions around scalability, maintainability, and technical direction.
- Develop low-level systems designed for high performance, reliability, and real-time execution.
- Work closely with Game Developers, Artists, QA, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to deliver robust game technology.
- Debug complex engine, runtime, and performance issues across different environments.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, well-tested, production-quality C++ code.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices around C++, game architecture, performance, testing, and code quality.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
- Must-Have RequirementsStrong professional experience with C++, ideally modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20 or later).
- Proven experience developing or working extensively with a game engine, game framework, or core game technology.
- Senior-level experience in software engineering, with a strong understanding of software architecture and engineering principles.
- Deep understanding of game-engine architecture, including game loops, state management, entity/component systems, resource management, and game systems.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization, memory management, multithreading/concurrency, and debugging of real-time applications.
- Experience with 2D/3D rendering, graphics pipelines, animation, shaders, WebGL, OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing and building reusable, scalable engine components and frameworks.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex technical problems in a production environment.
- Nice to HaveExperience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary/custom game engines.
- Experience developing casino games, slots, iGaming, sportsbook, or other real-money gaming products.
- Experience with game rendering and graphics optimization.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or other languages used alongside C++ game technology.
- Experience working on cross-platform game technology.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, profiling, and performance-monitoring tools.
