This role is ideal for engineers passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems and improving software architecture. Accountabilities: Lead performance and architecture improvements for a complex SaaS platform. Analyze and optimize distributed systems, including database interactions, caching, and load management. Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure consistent architectural alignment. Establish and evangelize technical standards for system performance, reliability, and maintainability. Mentor engineers on architectural best practices, secure coding, and performance optimization. Define performance testing frameworks and monitor system-level metrics to guide continuous improvement. 8+ years of software engineering experience, with substantial exposure to distributed systems or SaaS architecture. Strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Proficiency with SQL/PostgreSQL; familiarity with MongoDB is a plus. Experience analyzing and improving system performance, scalability, and reliability. Knowledge of modern web frameworks (Vue, React, WebPack) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Hands-on experience with profiling, benchmarking, and debugging tools. Preferred: mobile architecture experience (Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin) and multi-tenant SaaS platforms. Annual base salary: $130,000–$140,000. Bonus potential: 10% annually. Full-time, exempt position with flexible work arrangements.
